June 6th, 1944, 150 high school resistance fighters left Paris to join the French Resistance. They learned to dismantle weapons in high school basements. They trained in forests. They had connections to the «adult» Resistance and the English «Buckmaster» network. At dawn on June 10th, the Nazis took several dozen of these boys by surprise in isolated farms in Sologne. They were betrayed by one of their own men: a young traitor who had been operating as an informant for the Gestapo for many years. Was he the only informant? Had there been other leaks in Paris? For the high school students, it was now too late to ask themselves these questions. During the course of the day, 42 of them were hunted down and shot by the Germans.
