Dominique de Villepin portraits a man who marked French politics and whose name echoes through the ages up until nowadays.
Dominique de Villepin has nurtured, since childhood, a keen passion for general de Gaulle. It is precisely this passion that informs the matrix of the film. It is this passion that enables the film to read greedily through the pages, in turn heroic and somber, of Twentieth Century History.
The film alternates D de V’s own words and De Gaulle’s, keenly making them respond, thus conditioning their ability to continue inspiring our futures.
