Halimata, 38, was born in France to Senegalese parents. She was excised at the age of 5. This film is the story of a woman like many others, who grew up torn between a traditional patriarchal education and a thirst for emancipation and freedom; the story of a trauma, the ultimate taboo, and of a reconstruction, which will take place through an exchange with her family.
